A bit of hilarious news: Alaska doesn't get much action, really, so it's no surprise that police thought they were pulling over a UFO when they saw the above solar car tooling down the road. I'd probably have thought the same thing, except that UFOs are unidentified FLYING objects...

But it was just Marcelo da Luz in his Xof1 taking a jaunt across the state to try and set a world record. A citizen dialed 911 upon seeing the vehicle, and police chased it down but didn't do more than ask him what was up with the crazy car.

'Flying saucer' a way up in flying cars for that alien feel

Those flying saucers of the prehistoric age, one always thought were the UFO's bearing space invaders - but with the advent of technology, the saucers will now carry humans. Your chance to experience the alien feel without the LSD, marijuana or all that creepy stuff lyin' in the filthy six-pocketers of the roadside drug peddlers.

The material's all in place and Moller is out producing parts for the latest and futuristic (ah, so stupid of me, if it's latest it ought to be futuristic) Jetsons-like flying saucer, christened M200G volantor - that on completion will be a small flying two passenger saucer-shaped vehicle that will take-off and land vertically.

This saucer-shaped M200G is designed with two engines, air-cooled and water-cooled - to be powered by Moller's eight Rotapower rotary engines, it will though be a basic MI creation with a limited flying ability (maximum 10ft altitude) intended for continuous ground effect. This design is 'the ultimate off-road vehicle' that'll be apt enough to travel over any surface - without any bar to surface - you can ply it over just anything, be it road, rocks or water for that matter, by spending a wee bit extra as it ain't a fuel-efficient vehicle.

Doing away with speed limits and road congestions, this saucer lets you glide over all terrain at 50 mph - moreover, M200G is just the right choice for Paris Hilton and the likes - coz there's no requirement of any significant training or licensing to operate the vehicle yet, the same feel.

The Co. will carry out demonstration sessions in Davis, California once the vehicle is ready for market, all those wary could have an eye for that.

Nothing so chic will be an easy possession for sure yet, M200G's production price could be as low as $90,000, depending on the engine production and cost of its Rotapower engines.

Change, is a must, those parameter are meant to be broken or aren't they, perhaps with the ever changing scenario. Automobile industry has already gone futuristic and unconventional defying the odds, where the next level of the ultimate thrill is the flying cars, so M200G volantor is a sure catch.

Amazing Alien Car Mod

The Chevrolet Aveo may not be at the top of anyone’s “most awesome cars” list, but this mod will surely get it onto some. Florida-based company The Car Factory took the modest Chevy Aveo, ripped off its skin, and built this incredible mod around the underlying frame. The Extra Terrestrial Vehicle, or ETV, looks like just the car to draw envious (and perplexed) stares from everyone it passes by.

Mike Vetter and other crew members at the Car Factory custom built the car’s unbelievable new body, assembled it and put it up for sale on eBay for a whopping $86,000. Considering the amount of work involved, that price is probably reasonable.

Fake An Alien Invasion, Ride The Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle

After seeing countless science fiction movies and television shows, we all have some idea of what an "alien car" would look like. For many of us, this Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle (ETV) will probably fit the bill. Cue the background music, E.T.'s coming out!

Instead of managing to fly or hover like any self-respecting futuristic car should, however, the ETV can only drive down the same roads that you do. Yep, it's a regular car enclosed in an otherworldly frame that makes most space-inspired design concepts look like third-grade compositions in comparison. It won't buoy you up in the air but it sure will get you plenty of attention.

Designed by Mike Vetter and his Florida-based "The Car Factory", the ETV combines futuristic bodywork with a Chevy Aveo's frame and guts. Sporting a teardrop shape, the car features a dome-like shell, gullwing doors, fully-covered tires and pretty much every design cue you can imagine fitted on an unearthly ride. Vetter says they're selling ETVs using either an Aveo (like above) or a Porsche Boxter as a donor car.

I still can't decide whether stepping out of this thing is more akin to dorky or cool. I guess it all depends on whether you're wearing Vulcan-like ears while you're doing it. At any rate, I doubt anyone in their right mind will give up a Porsche Boxter to have it fashioned into a twelve-year-old's dream car, regardless of how many sci-fi movies they've collected over bittorent. It just isn't right.

Vetter reportedly had a listing of an Aveo-based ETV on eBay, but it's been taken down now. Price was a similarly out-of-this-world $86,000.
