If you ask, which is the most famous car in the world, you wouldn’t be sure of the answer. But apparently, a James Bond Aston Martin has been pegged with the above mentioned title, and has also fetched a very impressive price of £2.6 million at an auction held at Battersea Evolution in London recently. This car is a silver DB5 and was driven by Sir Sean Connery, the very first James Bond, in the Goldfinger and Thunderball.
One would think that such an amount would be more than enough for a car, but it was actually expected to fetch more than £3 million! A spokesman for RM Auctions (those who held this auction) said: “It’s still a lot of money and I don’t think anyone’s disappointed.” The cars last owner was the American broadcasting boss Jerry Lee, who bought the 1964 car for $12,000 way back in 1969.

Here is a great opportunity for car collectors. Two cars from the BMW museum reserve will be auctioned at Bonhams inaugural Collectors’ Motor Cars sale to be held at the Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai in the month of October. This opportunity is very unique as it is probably the first time that a car has been put up for sale from the official factory collection.
The first car is a white BMW 3.0 with motorsport stripes on it. It’s aerodynamics are fit for racing, and due to this virtue, this vehicle was named the “Batmobile”. Only 57 models of this particular design were produced around 1975. Only one third of them still exist. It has been estimated that the 3.0 CSL will fetch €130,000–€170,000. The other car is a rare 1979 white BMW M1 that has a very low mileage. This car is also expected to fetch the same price as the other BMW.

RM Auctions’ upcoming event on Amelia Island has great many cars in store for auctioning. In March, it will showcase two rare and highly valued Ferrari classics which would seriously take your breath away. Daytona Spyder is one of the most famous and the yellow Daytona is one of the rarest with only 22 being manufactured ever.
It is expected to fetch $1 million, and the other car is the rare alloy-bodied, four-cam 275 GTB/4. It was commissioned by Ferrari’s importer Luigi Chinetti. It is expected to fetch $1.35-1.75 million. These cars are part of our heritage and we can’t really quit buying these expensive cars though they would reach seven figures. Read More

Rizk Auto in Phoenix, Arizona know the value of vintage cars and the superiority of the modern technology. Thus, they have recreated the classic 1957 Aston Martin DBR2 with state of the art Formula One technology. It can be custom ordered, if you are i9nterested and the thing that I like about it is that it is lightweight and rigid.
You could choose engines from Jaguar or a Corvette LS3 V8. If you would like to know how much it might cost, it is actually not known yet. However, it would be useful for y9ou to keep in mind that such ostentatious luxury usually comes at an astronomical price. Vintage cars have the appeal of an ageing Hollywood star who only would have matured like wine.
